Although cloistered together in close quarters, we're neither monks nor punks. Lost in that ether between sinners and saints, we stand up against corruption and oppression in all its forms. Instead of electing a single village idiot, we seem to have several. Forget all those stereotypes about gladiatorial combat and the Hollywood perpetuated shower rape scenarios. Here, it's more like a commune of students, teachers, and various artisans. Personally, I focus on art, writing and advocacy. You'd be surprised at the resourcefulness one can develop under these kinds of circumstances. By far, the most ingenious product manufactured here...is HOPE! And if we can find it in a place like this, then rest assured that we can teach anybody anywhere how to find it! Perhaps it sounds too good to be true. Everything should be okay that does no harm. I'm the leader of a Greek Pagan group ("Erosian") and author of a few online books and lots of magazine articles. Doing a lot of time for taking a picture of boys kissing - which would not have put me in prison except in Idaho. There was no sex or nudity but I was convicted - more for my views and the fact that I am gay (had permission to take the pic).
