North Pole Dancer Card by Kinoko
This card was designed by Kinoko, a currently-incarcerated artist in a Nevada prison. Kinoko has been creating art her entire life and is avidly dedicated to her craft. She uses art to heal past trauma, and help create joy and beauty from the inside of prison walls.
Kinoko graciously donated this card design to help fund holiday commissary donations to currently-incarcerated LGBTQ people. These donations help queer, transgender and HIV+ prisoners purchase food, clothing, medical care, legal counsel and gender affirming items.
Kinoko is a contributor of A.B.O. Comix, a nonprofit organization and small press that works with incarcerated LGBTQ artists to publish their creative works. A.B.O. Comix also advocates on behalf of their incarcerated community through maintaining friendships, sharing resources, training & job experience, assisting with grievances, fundraising, linking penpals, and supporting with re-entry. Since its founding in 2017, A.B.O. Comix has donated over $60,000 directly to incarcerated artists and their families.
