Ho, Ho, Ho
This card was designed by Krysta Morningstarr-Cox, a currently-incarcerated trans artist in a Texas prison. Krysta is heavily inspired by manga style art, and uses the medium to chronicle her feelings, experiences, thoughts and advice when it comes to the experience of transitioning one's gender.
Krysta graciously donated this card design to help fund holiday commissary donations to currently-incarcerated LGBTQ people. These donations help queer, transgender and HIV+ prisoners purchase food, clothing, medical care, legal counsel and gender affirming items.
Krysta is a contributor of A.B.O. Comix, a nonprofit organization and small press that works with incarcerated LGBTQ artists to publish their creative works. A.B.O. Comix also advocates on behalf of their incarcerated community through maintaining friendships, sharing resources, training & job experience, assisting with grievances, fundraising, linking penpals, and supporting with re-entry. Since its founding in 2017, A.B.O. Comix has donated over $60,000 directly to incarcerated artists and their families.
